Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Soft slabs have formed from recent snow and strong winds and lie upon weak layers of faceted snow and crusts. These slabs will be deeper and therefore more sensitive on the east side of the divide where more snow has fallen over the last few days. These slabs could be triggered today on steep wind loaded avalanche paths by backcountry users.
