Highlights

DANGEROUS soft slabs two to five feet in depth exist on a variety of steep wind loaded aspects at all elevations. Over the last several days numerous natural and skier triggered avalanches have been observed. Close calls or partial burials occured in Rock Springs and Green River drainages. These DANGEROUS slabs are likley to be easily triggered today by humans and could release naturally. Travel in avalanche terrain at the upper elevations is not recommended today. Good terrain evaluation and route finding skills are essential for safe travel at the mid and lower elevations.
