Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche today on steep slopes near and above treeline where more than 10 to 12 inches of new snow has fallen. The most dangerous slopes are where new snow settled into a cohesive slab. If you experience cracking in the new snow or feel a collapse, this is a sign of unstable snow and you should seek out lower-angled terrain.
