The number of slopes where you can trigger a slab avalanche grows smaller on Friday and Saturday. High-elevation northerly and easterly-facing wind-drifted slopes are the lingering places where you might trigger an avalanche large enough to carry you. An avalanche in motion could gouge down and entrain more volume in continuously steep terrain. Choose wind-sheltered or heavily wind-eroded slopes to avoid the concern.
