Highlights

Heavy snowfall accompanied by strong winds has created drifts to two feet deep in lee starting zones at Mid and Upper elevations. This snow sits on a faceted surface that is weak and slides may be easily triggered. South facing slopes are hard and smooth from weeks of sun and may slide even with small amounts of snow. With forecasted precipitaion and wind the hazard will increase through the day. Snow amounts at Low elevations are still minimal.
