Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning and will increase to MODERATE this afternoon as warming occurs. New snow has formed shallow surface slabs at the higher elevations. These slabs lie upon hard crusts and both they and the old snow surface will become sensitive as temperatures and sunlight soften the snowpack making wet loose and wet slab avalanches possible.
