Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are free from avalanche danger due to the limited and variable snowpack. If you were to trigger a small slide, it would be where recent winds drift snow on an old, slick surface.
During times of LOW (1 of 5) avalanche danger, people often venture into larger terrain. Remember, even with "Generally Safe Conditions," an avalanche can be triggered on isolated slopes and in extreme terrain. It's always a good idea to assess the slope you plan to ride and identify any hazards.
