Around 2+ feet of snow has accumulated (much deeper on wind-loaded terrain) on widespread persistent weak layers such as fragile facets and faceted crusts. These avalanches are propagating hundreds of feet wide and being remotely triggered from thousands of feet away. This is not a manageable avalanche problem. Avoidance is the travel advice. Large avalanches will run naturally today.
On Friday, this avalanche was 650 feet wide! No way you are riding out of that one.
