The danger is Low today as avalanches are unlikely. Low danger does not mean ‘no’ danger. Isolated pockets of shallow wind slab exist on very steep terrain in the upper elevations. These slabs will be of greater concern in terrain where taking a fall has high consequences. Remember to always utilize safe travel practices by only exposing one person at a time, using good communication and being prepared for rescue.

High pressure will continue its influence over the region. Skies will be mostly clear tonight and mostly sunny tomorrow. Overnight lows will be in the teens in the mountains with valley locations dipping into the single digits. Temperatures will rise into the mid twenties at 8,000-9,000 feet and valley locations will climb into the low twenties. Ridgetop winds will be out of the west overnight and shift to northwest for part of the day tomorrow. Wind speeds will be in the 20-25 mph range. Avalanches will be unlikely tomorrow.
