Highlights

Avalanches will remain unlikely on Monday.  Cloud cover should prevent extensive melting and limit wet avalanche activity.  Whenever you are out looking for fun riding in avalanche terrain it is worth carrying avalanche rescue equipment and being mindful of snow conditions.

Avalanche Discussion

I was surprised twice today.  First I was surprised at how little snow there is (I've been away for a week)!  Then I was surprised to find really pleasant riding on south slopes near treeline.  Mostly cloudy skies and Moderate winds kept shadier slopes and likely higher elevation slopes firm.  A steady period of melt-freeze has meant our only possible avalanche problems are from melting snow, and on Sunday I didn't observe enough melting to create any of those instabilities.
