Overnight snowfall but only near summits with rain at lower levels; drier later in the period. Freezing near summits but milder later. ObservedSnowStability: Moist, moderately bonded windslab on steep North to East aspects but only above 1000m and generally near summit level. Limited wet surface snow instability noted around midday on some very steep slopes and gullies on the same aspects but at lower altitudes. Wet, weak cornices present over recent lee slopes. Elsewhere the snowpack is wet or moist but generally well stabilised. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
