Avalanche danger is low. At higher altitudes, small-scale snowdrift accumulations can still constitute a problem in isolated cases. Slab avalanches can be triggered on extremely steep shady slopes, in particular adjacent to ridgelines and at transitions to wind-loaded gullies and bowls, mostly by large additional loading. Avalanches tend to be small. The danger of taking a fall is bigger than the danger of being buried in snow masses. In addition, isolated small wet loose snow or glide snow avalanches can trigger naturally on sun-exposed slopes. Avalanche activity will increase slightly in line with the daytime danger cycle.

All in all the snowpack has settled well and is by and large stable. In shady terrain the snow is powdery, in sunny terrain it is encrusted in the morning, in the afternoon the snowpack surface is moist. At intermediate altitude the snowpack base is partly moist and thus enables gliding movements of the snow masses over smooth surfaces. Adjacent to ridgelines snowdrift accumulations can still be prone to triggering when deposited atop soft layers or where weak layers are embedded. However, snow profile analyses do not show tendencies to fracture propagation.

The avalanche situation will stay calm for the next few days.
