Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be very strong West-South-Westerly. The freezing level will be above all summits overnight, then at dawn will drop to around 1100 metres. Overnight precipitation will fall as rain at all levels; during the day light showers will fall as snow only on the highest summits. Observed Weather Influences: Last night the freezing level rose well above the summits and persistent, sometimes heavy, rain fell at all levels. Winds were very strong South-Westerly.
