Forecast Snow Stability: The snow will continue to thaw with cover diminishing at all elevations. Though soft and wet, the patchy snow will be generally well bonded. There is a risk of rock fall as the thaw continues. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light rainfall throughout, only ceasing at the end of the period. Gale to severe gale force West, then West-South-Westerly winds. Freezing level remaining above the summits but lowering to 1500 metres by the end of the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A cloudy but dry morning with very light rain arriving at midday. Strong Westerly winds increasing to Storm force by mid afternoon with some very powerful gusts. Very mild throughout the period with plus 6 degrees centigrade recorded at 930 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snow is thawing rapidly at all elevations with remaining cover becoming patchy. Despite being soft and wet, deposits are generally well bonded and stable. Greater risk exists from falling ice and rocks. The avalanche hazard is Low.
