In particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 2 (moderate) and along the border with Switzerland 5 to 10 cm of snow fell on Saturday above approximately 1800 m. The wind will be moderate in some localities. Wind slabs are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at high altitudes and in the high Alpine regions. They are mostly small and can only be released in isolated cases. These avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep slopes, in particular at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the icy crust.

2 to 10 cm of snow fell on Friday above approximately 2200 m. In all aspects snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2200 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. On sunny slopes below approximately 2800 m hardly any snow is lying. Also on shady slopes below approximately 2400 m hardly any snow is lying. The snowpack is largely stable. It is not distinctly layered. Shady slopes: The snowpack consists of faceted crystals and has faceted crystals on the surface. Below approximately 2200 m: As a consequence of rain a crust formed on the surface on Friday.

The avalanche danger will persist.
