Warm temperatures and no snowfall have continued to stabilize the snowpack. In areas where there is enough snow to travel, the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. Below 8,000 feet, there is no avalanche rating due to the lack of snow coverage. Early season conditions exist at all elevations, and the main hazard for backcountry travelers remains the shallow snow depths.

Northern portions of the forecast area may see a trace of snow tonight as a weak disturbance passes through. Windy conditions return tomorrow accompanied by slightly cooler, though still warm, temperatures. Expect mountain temperatures to rise near freezing around 10,000’ with mid-thirties to low forties at the mid-elevations. Warm temperatures and settlement continue to stabilize the snowpack while cool nights have faceted the snow in some areas. In places where there is enough snow to travel, the snowpack remains mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. The main hazard for backcountry travelers remains the shallow snow depths. The avalanche danger will be Low on Tuesday above 8,500 feet with no rating below that elevation due to the lack of snow.
