Avalanche Activity

Wind slabs and wet snow represent the main danger.

As a consequence of new snow and wind individual small to medium-sized slab avalanches are possible above approximately 1300 m. In the vicinity of peaks a dangerous avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities. The more recent wind slabs and can be released easily. Avalanches can penetrate down to the ground and reach medium size in some cases.

Snowpack Structure

The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to unfavourable bonding of the snowpack in some places.
