Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to gradually thaw and consolidate at all levels. Some wet snow is expected above 1200 metres although accumulations will not be significant. Overall snowpack stability will be generally good. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Light showers will continue with the freezing level around 1200 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight rain at all levels turned to showers during the day. It has remained warm with the freezing level lowering to around 1300 metres by late afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is thawing and consolidating at all levels. Snowpack stability is generally good, although the warmer temperatures are causing cornices to remain unstable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
