Avalanche Activity

Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.

Especially on very steep grassy slopes small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible. In addition in particular at high altitude, mostly small slab avalanches are possible. These can be released by large loads.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. The wind slabs have formed especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and generally at high altitudes. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack in particular on grassy slopes at intermediate altitudes.
