Forecast Snow Stability: The surface layers of the old patchy snow will be firm first thing, softening slightly at lower elevations by the end of the day. Deposits will be well bonded and stable throughout. Largest areas of old snow will be found above 900 metres, especially in steep wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation has been forecast. Light East, veering Southerly winds. 750 metre freezing level overnight, rising to 1150 metres by the end of the period. Observed Weather Influences: A trace of snow fell above 750 metres overnight and again around midday. Light to moderate South-Easterly winds. Freezing level around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The surface layers of the old patchy snow have refrozen giving well bonded and stable conditions throughout. Though thawing at lower elevations there is a trace of new snow lying above 800 metres. Largest areas of old snow are to be found above 900 metres, especially in steep wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
