As a consequence of a moderate wind from northerly directions, mostly small wind slabs formed in the last few days adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. These can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases, especially at their margins. Additionally in some places dry avalanches can also be released in near-ground layers.
Snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2000 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. In addition, from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. The old snowpack consists of faceted crystals. Weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on steep west, north and east facing slopes.
The danger of dry avalanches will decrease. The danger of moist avalanches will increase. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation small and medium-sized moist loose snow avalanches are to be expected.
