Forecast Snow Stability: Any remaining old snow, predominantly on North to East aspects above 800 metres will remain stable. Any new accumulations will be small, developing on bare ground on sheltered Westerly aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: In the early hours there will be precipitation falling as snow above 600 metres but overall accumulations expected to be small. Fresh South-Westerly winds during the evening will back to become Easterly by midnight before becoming light during daylight hours. Observed Weather Influences: Storm force Westerly winds in the morning moderated as the day progressed. Cloud base around 500 metres in the morning with occasional heavy showers of hail. A bright afternoon with the freezing level around the highest summits. ObservedSnowStability: There is a superficial dusting of new snow above 900 metres. Any remaining old snow is firm underfoot, well bonded and stable. Greatest accumulations are in deep gullies and stream beds on North to East aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
