In particular shady places that are protected from the wind above approximately 2800 m: As the moisture increases moist small and medium sized avalanches are possible.
Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released by large additional loads in particular above approximately 2400 m. This applies in particular in shady places that are protected from the wind. Avalanches can penetrate down to the ground and reach large size in isolated cases. As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase on south facing slopes below approximately 2600 m. Avalanches can occur in particular in starting zones where no previous releases have taken place.
At elevated altitudes a treacherous avalanche situation will be encountered in some localities. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted. Avalanches can be released in deeper layers, in particular by large additional loads. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. This applies in particular on sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m.
From early morning probably danger level 3 (considerable) will be reached in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation above approximately 1800 m.
