Forecast Snow Stability: At higher levels the snowpack will freeze and consolidate in the colder conditions. At lower levels it will continue to slowly thaw. Stability will be good in both cases. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a dry day with strengthening Southerly winds. The freezing level will drop to about 1000 meters through the period. Observed Weather Influences: It was a mild but dry day with light winds. The freezing level was well above the highest summits. ObservedSnowStability: The spring snowpack continues to slowly thaw and consolidate. The greatest accumulations tend to be on North to East aspects above 700 meters. Stability is generally good in all locations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
