South Okanagan, Shuswap, North Okanagan.
The danger is LOW, but continue to watch for unstable snow in isolated terrain features.
In the past week, reported avalanche activity has been limited to small size 1 dry loose sluffs and small slabs.
If you are heading into the backcountry, please share any observations with the Mountain Information Network.
Surface conditions are variable throughout the region with isolated wind effect, possible sun crust on steep sun-affected slopes and unconsolidated soft snow that is settling.
A couple of layers of surface hoar/facets or a crust are buried 20 to 45 cm deep, largely depending on aspect and elevation. These layers are unlikely to trigger at this time, except for possible isolated areas where there is enough of a firm slab overtop.
The remainder of the snowpack is well consolidated, containing several more crusts, none of which are considered a concern at this time.
