No avalanches or signs of instability were reported this week.
Watch for other hazards like creek crossings, holes, and slippery surfaces.
Fresh snow arrived Thursday, bringing 10 to 20 cm around Gros Morne and up to 30 cm south of Corner Brook. Where snow remains, it is bonding quickly to a hard crust; elsewhere, it sits on bare ground.
The snowpack has melted significantly over the past month, but decent coverage remains in the Lewis Hills and wind-loaded bowls and gullies across the region.
