Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will become increasingly moist as it begins to thaw but it will be generally stable. Lower elevations will see a more rapid change with diminishing snow cover. The largest areas of snow will remain in high Northern corries and gullies above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A mainly dry evening with light rain and drizzle from the early hours continuing though the day. South-Easterly winds steadily increase fresh to gale during the morning. The freezing level remains above the summits throughout. Observed Weather Influences: A wet morning with light rain falling as snow above 600 metres. Dryer during the afternoon with the freezing level rising above the summits. Winds were moderate to fresh from the South. ObservedSnowStability: There were fresh accumulations of snow above 600 metres, though generally amounts were not significant. Some isolated instabilities are present in deeper accumulations on North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres, mainly steep wind sheltered locations around gully tops and coire rims. The old snowpack has generally remained firm and is stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
