Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs of the last few days represent the main danger. The wind will be moderate to strong over a wide area. Slab avalanches are possible in isolated cases.

The wind will be moderate to strong. The fresh snow of the last few days and the wind slabs to be found above all in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain can be released, especially by large additional loads,. In all regions mostly small avalanches are possible. In many places there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow is lying on a crust. As a consequence of the strong wind, the snow drift accumulations will increase in size during the next few days. The snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
