In the afternoon small wind slabs will form above approximately 2000 m, in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas at high altitude. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found especially in extremely steep terrain. They are to be evaluated with care and prudence in terrain where there is a danger of falling. Late morning: In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

Some snow will fall on Tuesday in some localities. The small quantity of fresh snow and the wind slabs that are forming during the snowfall will be deposited on the favourable surface of an old snowpack in all aspects. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to slight moistening of the snowpack in some cases, in particular at intermediate altitudes. The old snowpack is largely stable. Less snow than usual is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations.

In some localities a little new snow above the tree line: In some localities increase in danger of dry and moist avalanches as a consequence of the moderate to strong northwesterly wind.
