Avalanche Activity

From the early morning as a consequence of warming there will be an increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. Backcountry tours should be started and concluded very early.

In all aspects wet loose snow avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Gliding avalanches can also occur. In particular in the regions with a lot of snow medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large avalanches are possible. Avalanches can still in isolated cases be released by small loads.

Snowpack Structure

The weather conditions will give rise to moistening of the snowpack. Wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. This applies in particular on shady slopes. Weak layers exist in the snowpack.

Tendency

Light precipitation.
