Avalanche Summary

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. The few areas where you might be able to trigger a small avalanche are on steep, wind-drifted slopes just below ridgelines most likely facing northeast and east. If the snow feels stiff and hollow consider sticking to slopes less than about 35 degrees steep or move to another slope. Even a small avalanche can be dangerous in consequential terrain with a creek or a cliff below you.

Expect a rapid increase in the avalanche danger as a potent storm impacts the area starting Thursday night.
