Slabs one to three feet in depth lie upon a weak layer of surface hoar and faceted snow at all elevations. Unpredictable conditions persist: a slide may release upon approach or after the slope has been skied or crossed several times. Reported slides have occurred primarily on North to East aspects on very low to high angle slopes.
