Highlights

In the past 48 hours 25 inches of snow with 1.8 inches of moisture have fallen at the mid and upper elevations. New slabs up to four feet in depth have formed upon an unstable snowpack. Natural avalanches are certain today on a variety of aspects at all elevations. These slabs could step down to weak layers of faceted snow or the ground surface. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN SHOULD BE AVOIDED TODAY.
