Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche from a distance or below that will break at the ground. Wind-drifted slopes with rounded pillows of firm snow will be the most dangerous. Multiple people could ride a slope before you find a weak area of the slope and get buried under the season's entire snowpack. Avoid slopes steeper than about 30 degrees.
