Isolated pockets of soft slabs to two feet in depth persist on some upper elevation northerly aspects. On other upper elevation aspects and all mid and low elevation aspects, a melt freeze cycle has resulted in a mostly stable snowpack in the early morning hours. The hazard will increase today due to accumulating snowfall expected at the higher elevations and rain expected at the low elevations. Humans could trigger small soft slabs on very steep wind loaded starting zones at the upper and into the mid elevations this afternoon, or wet loose or wet slabs on steep snow covered slopes at the mid to low elevations after significant warming and potential rain soften the snowpack.
