The general avalanche hazard for most areas west of and along the Continental Divide is LOW but the hazard is MODERATE in the upper Green River Basin, which received large snowfall amounts earlier in the week. Soft surface slabs up to 12 inches deep in the Upper Green River Basin and in isolated pockets up to 10 inches deep elsewhere lie upon slick old snow surfaces and could be triggered by riders or skiers who venture onto steep, wind loaded slopes.
