The danger of moist and wet avalanches will increase quickly during the day.

More moist and wet avalanches are possible. As a consequence of the moderate northwesterly wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form.

The wind will be moderate in some localities. The weather conditions gave rise to rapid settling of the snowpack. At higher altitudes, snow cover becomes thinner and patchy; it is better at mid-altitudes, which are less exposed to the wind. Below approximately 2000 m hardly any snow is lying. The weather conditions gave rise to moistening of the snowpack below approximately 2500 m. Weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on steep shady slopes.

Early morning: The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze. Where cloud cover will be heaviest during the night. From late morning the natural activity of avalanches will increase. In particular in starting zones where no previous releases have taken place and on very steep slopes more medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large natural wet avalanches are possible. The conditions are generally favourable for ski touring. Backcountry tours and ascents to alpine cabins should be concluded timely. In the course of the day mostly small wind slabs will form especially above approximately 3000 m.
