Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected in the snowpack. Areas of well bonded windslab will remain on mainly wind sheltered West to North aspects above 900 metres. On other aspects, and below this altitude the snowpack will be shallow and firm. Stability will be good throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry but cloudy day with a freezing level of around 500 metres. Winds from the East. Observed Weather Influences: It was a cloudy and murky but generally dry day. The freezing level rose to around 1000 metres overnight before dropping slowly to around 700 metres during the day. Winds were from the South-East. ObservedSnowStability: The overnight temperature rise has helped to stabilise the shallow but unstable windslab deposits which were observed yesterday. Areas of windslab still remain on mainly sheltered North to East aspects above 900 metres. However, these now tend to be well consolidated and generally stable. On other aspects the snowpack tends to be firm and is stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
