Forecast Snow Stability: Above 950m widespread unstable windslab will be present on West to North aspects; this will be more localised on North-East and South to South-West aspects. Steep terrain such as coire headwalls, convexities and gullies will be most affected. Below 950m localised unstable windslab will remain on some steep banks and burn lines. Later in the day new windslab will develop above 900m on North-West to North-East aspects. New cornices will be fragile. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry conditions expected throughout the forecast period. Fresh North-Westerly winds will back to become Southerly by the afternoon and increase to strong. The 300 metre freezing level will rise later to 450 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Light snow showers on fresh Northerly winds. The freezing level was around 400 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Localised unstable windslab has developed on Southerly aspects above 1000m. Widespread unstable windslab is present mainly above 950m on West to North aspects; more localised on North-East and South-West aspects. Steep terrain such as coire headwalls, convexities and gullies are most affected. Localised moderately bonded windslab is present on some steep slopes below 950m. Elsewhere above 1000m weaknesses persist beneath a widespread friable crust. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
