Forecast Snow Stability: The snow cover will continue to thaw but will remain generally well bonded. Greatest amounts will be found on South-West through North-West to North-East aspects above 600 metres. Any remaining cornices will be prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will rise well above the summits for this forecasted period. Occasional rain, mainly overnight and in the afternoon. Near gale winds, South-South-West in the morning, backing South in the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: With the freezing level around 800 metres overnight, precipitation initially fell as snow before turning to rain as the freezing levels climbed. Very strong winds from the West throughout the day with gusts regularly exceeding 50 mph. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is wet and soft becoming firmer with altitude. New snow is very limited in distribution and has had little effect on the well bonded snow cover. There has been snow loss, particularly from South and South-East aspects, ridges and sub 600 metres. Stability of remaining cornices is poor. The avalanche hazard is Low.
