Avalanche Activity

Gradual increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the new snow.

In all aspects and on steep slopes small to medium-sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of the snowfall. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on wind-loaded slopes the avalanche danger will increase to level 2 (moderate). Avalanches can mostly be released by large loads.

Snowpack Structure

The old snowpack will be quite well bonded. The new snow and wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack.
