Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snow will be well bonded and stable throughout with surface layers starting to firm up at higher elevations. Largest areas will be found above 900 metres especially in wind sheltered locations on North through East to South aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation has been forecast. Winds, fresh North-North-Westerly overnight, easing during the day to become moderate, then light Northerlies. Freezing level lowering to around 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Very light, intermittent precipitation during the early morning, falling as rain on all but the highest summits where a trace of snow fell. This was followed by a dry and bright afternoon. Fresh to strong Westerly winds at summit level. The freezing level lowered to around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The thaw continues at lower elevations, with colder temperatures starting to affect the high summits. The remaining snow is well bonded and stable throughout. Limited patchy snow exists below 900 metres, with largest areas being encountered above this altitude on North through East to South aspects. Icefall observed on a North-East facing crag at 950 metres today. The avalanche hazard is Low.
