Forecast Snow Stability: The limited snowpack which mainly exists in the higher Northerly and Easterly corries will be firm on the highest slopes initially, softening through the day. There will be generally good stability throughout. Isolated pockets of new snow will be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be mainly dry but a trace of new snow will fall on the higher tops overnight. Amounts of new snow are not expected to be significant. Winds will be light to moderate, generally Southerly. The freezing level initially will be around 1150 metres rising to 1300 metres through the course of the day. Observed Weather Influences: It has been mainly dry with moderate Easterly winds. Summit temperatures today were in the region of 0 to -1 degrees centigrade. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack, which is mainly in the higher Northerly and Easterly corries is moist with generally good stability. A degree of firming up has occurred on the highest slopes. The avalanche hazard is Low.
