Forecast Snow Stability: Greatest accumulations lie on North through East to South-East aspects. Overnight, cornices will remain prone to collapse and full depth avalanches will be possible on very steep East facing slopes and crags. During the day the existing snowpack will start to re-freeze and stability will improve. Fresh windslab will be deposited in wind sheltered areas, mainly on North-East to South-East aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations are not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be strong South-Westerly veering West-North-Westerly during the early morning. Overnight the freezing level will be above all summits, with precipitation falling as rain at all levels. Just before dawn the freezing level will drop below the summits, lowering to around 750 metres during the day, with light snow showers. Observed Weather Influences: It was a mild day, with the freezing level above all summits. It was basically dry, with a little dampness in the air. Winds were moderate South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to slowly thaw and consolidate at all levels and on all aspects. Weak cornices remain over North through East to South-East aspects. Some potential for full depth avalanches on very steep East facing slopes and crags. The avalanche hazard is Low.
