Snowpack Structure

In some localities up to 5 cm of snow, but less in some localities, has fallen since Thursday above approximately 2000 m. The more recent wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack in particular on wind-protected shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. In all regions there are 40 to 60 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

Tendency

Sunday: Gradual increase in danger of moist avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day.
