Forecast Snow Stability: Isolated shallow windslab deposits will be present initially in steep wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects above 850 metres. Wet snow surface instabilities possible in these locations as precipitation turns to rain from mid morning. Elsewhere the older snowpack will be well bonded and stable throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light showers will initially fall as snow above 800 metres before turning to rain at all levels from mid morning and becoming heavier during the afternoon. The freezing level will be around 800 metres overnight rising above the summits during the morning and remaining mild for the rest of the day. Moderate winds will be West-South-Westerly overnight becoming South-Easterly during the day and veering South-West by the end of the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry day with occasional showers. Winds were moderate West-South-Westerly. The freezing level rose to around 950 metres by the end of the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack is well bonded and stable in all locations. Isolated deposits of moderately bonded windslab exist in steep wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects above 850 metres. These areas are not extensive and are generally confined to gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard is Low.
