Forecast Snow Stability: The older snowpack, which exists mainly in North and East facing corries above 900 metres, will remain well bonded firm and stable in all locations. Redistribution will form isolated shallow windslab deposits on steep South-West and West aspects above 900 metres, however these are not expected to be extensive and will often overlie bare ground. Minor surface instabilities possible on slopes exposed to the sun. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry, cold day with some sunshine. Light Easterly winds will veer East-North-East and increase to fresh during the afternoon. The freezing level will rise to around 500 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A dry, cold, sunny day with light and variable winds. Shade temperatures were below freezing at most levels. ObservedSnowStability: The older snowpack, which exists mainly in North and East facing corries above 900 metres, remains well bonded, firm and stable. A thin layer of soft but generally stable snow is present on most aspects above 800 metres and in locations remaining in the shade at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
