Wet snow
- Below 2,600 m
More small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist snow slides and avalanches are possible. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released especially by large additional loads on shady slopes.

As a consequence of warming during the day more small and medium-sized moist snow slides and avalanches are possible below approximately 2600 m, in the event of solar radiation in particular on rocky slopes. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases by people on very steep shady slopes, in particular in the vicinity of peaks above approximately 2500 m. The avalanche prone locations are rather rare but are difficult to recognise. There is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. This applies in particular in the early morning.
The conditions are wintry at high altitude. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes. Adjacent to ridgelines hardly any snow is lying. Low and intermediate altitudes and very steep sunny slopes: The conditions are spring-like. In all altitude zones less snow than usual is lying. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to increasing softening of the snowpack in particular on steep southeast, south and southwest facing slopes below approximately 2500 m.
The weather conditions will foster a gradual strengthening of the snowpack.
