Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are dangerous. You can trigger deeply-breaking avalanches from adjacent slopes and from below. Choose terrain conservatively; giving steep slopes a wide berth. Previous tracks on a slope do not mean it is safe. Do not expect to see cracking or hear collapsing before a slide breaks. Stick to slopes less than 30 degrees without similarly steep slopes overhead.
