The General Avalanche Hazard at Mid and Upper elevations is Low. Well developed crusts should remain firm above 8000 feet. At Low elevations the Hazard is MODERATE as warm overnight temperatures have prevented firm refreezing of the snow surface. Avoid steep slopes and terrain traps where small, wet slides can be dangerous.

The southwest flow will continue to bring some chance of snow over the peaks Sunday night. Monday a trough will move through the region bringing a stronger chance of snow. Accumulations are expected to be in the one or two inch range. Daytime highs Monday will be around freezing and winds south to southwesterly at 15 to 20 m.p.h.AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The Avalanche Hazard will be LOW at all elevations Monday as temperatures are expected to be cool and overcast skies will prevent strong solar heating. Although the snow at lower elevations is isothermal and unstable it is thinning to the point that only isolated areas may have enough snow to present a hazard.
